November, 2006 Ph.D., in remote sensing and GIS at Al Neelain University/Berlin Free University. A program jointly funded by the German Academic Exchange Foundation (DAAD, GERMANY) & Al Neelain University, Sudan.

June. 1994 M.Sc. in geology, Department of geology, Faculty of Science, University of Khartoum.

May, 1987.B.Sc. Honours in Geology, second class division one with a university prize for the best degree in geology, Department of geology, Faculty of Science, University of Khartoum.

Teaching Experience

1987-1988:  Part-time teaching assistant at the department of Geology, Faculty of Science, KhartoumUniversity. Sudan.

1990-1994: Teaching assistant at the Faculty of Marine science and Fisheries, Port Sudan, Sudan.

1994-1995: Lecturer of Geology and sedimentology at the Faculty of Marine science and Fisheries, Port Sudan, Sudan.

1995-  2006:  Lecturer  of geology,  Sedimentology, Stratigraphy, Petroleum geology,  Basin analysis,  remote sensing and GIS at the Department of Geology and then the upgraded School of Applied Earth Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, Al Neelain University.

2006-2013: Assistant Professor of geology, remote sensing and GIS at the Faculty of Petroleum and Minerals, Al Neelain University.

2013-2014: Associate Professor of geology, remote sensing and GIS at the Faculty of Petroleum and Minerals, Al Neelain University.
