Research Activities

Research Activity is concentrated mainly in Economic Geology which Consists of the following themes:-

  • Geochemical Methods to Prospect and explore for metallic mineral deposits with special emphasis for gold and associated mineralization.
  • Remote Sensing and GIS applications in Geological Mapping and Mineral Exploration.
  • Prospecting for radioactive mineralization (U-Th.).
  • Assessment and estimation of reserves of ores of building materials Industrial Minerals and decorative dimension Stone.

  • Detailed Study of Gravel locations using Geophysical and geological Methods (Resistivity and Pit samples) in the western side of the White Nile State, Sudan (Member of Geo- consultancy team), 2009.
