Objectives

Gross Anatomy
1.    Describe the normal structures, surface, and radiological anatomy of the thorax, abdomen, pelvis, limbs, head and neck.
2.    Correlate the common clinical conditions with the relative parts in the anatomy of the thorax, abdomen, pelvis, limbs, head and neck.
3.    Locate the external and internal structures of the thorax, abdomen, pelvis, limbs, head and neck.
General and Systemic Embryology
1.    Identify the various developmental aspects of the embryo during intra uterine life.
2.    Explain the common birth defects (anomalies) and list tests used for their prenatal diagnosis.
3.    Describe basic embryological development of the human body systems(cardiovascular, lymphatic, locomotors, respiratory, digestive, renal, reproductive systems, nervous and endocrine glands)
General and Systemic Histology
1.    Describe the microscopic structure and the main function of the main systems of the body (epithelium, connective tissue, muscle tissue and nervous tissue, skin, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, renal, reproductive systems and endocrine glands).
2.    Correlate the common clinical conditions with the structure of the main systems of the body (epithelium, connective tissue, muscle tissue and nervous tissue, skin, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, renal, reproductive systems and endocrine glands).
3.    Demonstrate the microscopic features in the histological slidesof the main systems in the body (epithelium, connective tissue, muscle tissue and nervous tissue,skin, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, renal, reproductive systems and endocrine glands) by using the light microscope.
Neuroanatomy
1.    Describe the macroscopic anatomy (including- where applicable- the gross structure, position, relations, blood and lymph supply, and nerve supply) of the spinal cord, and intracranial structures.
