Dr. Sumaya Mohammed Ahmed Abu Kashawa; Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research met with Professor Kamal Hashim Mohamed Osman; Vice-Chancellor of Al-Neelain University, and they both discussed the University important issues of concern, and the ways of modernizing and improving the facilities and environment of the University.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research ‎praised the cultural and economic roles that Al-Neelain University plays and its contributions to the community development in Sudan.

Professor Kamal Hashim Mohamed Osman; Vice-Chancellor of Al-Neelain University ‎indicated that the University has more than 80 thousand students at the undergraduate level studying at different faculties of the University in addition to ten thousand students at the graduate level, which indicates the significant value that the University adds to the higher education in Sudan. Professor Kamal Hashim also pointed out that the University has five research centers operating to direct research to achieve the University's role in community service and development.

It is worth mentioning that Professor Kamal Hashim ‎ Mohamed Osman had graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at University of Khartoum, and at the present he is a professor of medicine at Al-Neelain ‎University. Previously, he was a dean of Faculty of Optometry at Al-Neelain ‎University and a founder of Eye Hospital of the Faculty.
