The Department had started the graduation of students since 2002. The staff includes about 12 members as: professor, assistant professor, associated professor, lecturer and teaching assistance. They teach the theory and practice with supervising of the research of BSC program and Master of Clinical Chemistry.
The Department of Clinical Chemistry teach the basics of clinical chemistry and theoretical frameworks of the chemical changes occurring in the human body with signs of disease related to the diagnosis, such as diseases of the glands, kidney disease and liver disease in addition to science of enzymelogy and hormones. Students also study the scientific theories of biochemical methods of analysis.
-Graduate students specializing in clinical chemistry- Graduate students able to conduct medical research to help solving the problems facing the medical tests.- Graduate students able to add what is new in the science of clinical chemistry- Graduate students able to keep up with the steady progress in the techniques of clinical chemistry- Graduate students able to use the new updated instruments and equipment in the field of clinical chemistry- Training students to conduct laboratory tests accurately with the ability to control the quality.
Student is awarded the degree with honors Bachelr’s in Medical Laboratory Science in specialty of clinical chemistry, classified according to academic estimates obtained by the student during the years of the study.
The postgraduate students award the Master's degree in medical laboratory science in specialty of clinical chemistry or Doctorate degree in certain Specialization.
BSC honors degree categorized into: -
1 –B.Sc. degree with First Class Honors.
2 – B.Sc. degree with second class honor (division I).
3 – B.Sc. degree with second class honors (division II).
4 – B.Sc. degree with third class honor .
